About Us
We are a lifestyle and culture magazine produced by students at Berry College, touching subjects such as style, food, health and fitness, arts and culture, and more. Formerly "The Cabin Log", a yearbook that published once a year since 1939, Valkyrie is printing twice a year! It is our priority to produce information that is meaningful, interesting, and impactful to our peers, so that they can have a better view of what goes on around them during their experience here at Berry. We opt to maximize the quality and variety of our content through their involvement and participation, as our website not only contains previous issues of the magazine, but also student-produced blogs!
Awards
Student staff of the 2020-2021 Berry College lifestyle and culture magazine, Valkyrie, earned six national awards for magazine journalism excellence in Columbia Scholastic Press Association's 39th annual Gold Circle Awards Contest. This year, more than 9,000 print news, digital media, yearbook, and magazine category entries were submitted by student media from across the United States.
